An odd little idea born of two thoughts: What if Goku was a girl, and what if Goku was found by Baba instead of Grandpa Gohan?

Answer: Magical Witch Goku!

Baba was very curious to have something crash down not far from her palace. Upon investigation, she discovered a strange pod with a baby girl resting within. She really wasn’t sure what to make of this, but quickly had a vision with her crystal ball, showing her that one day this young baby would have the potential for greatness.

Thinking on a name for the young baby, Baba decided to go with Ginger. However, instead of always using the full name, she would instead stick to calling the girl Gigi. As the young girl grew, Baba would discover that ‘Gigi’ possessed a high aptitude for ki, and through some training, also found that she could train the girl to convert her ki into magical energy, as well as the fact that she seemed to take quickly to different kinds of concepts, as well as took to challenge like a fish to water.

Through her connections to the Other World, Baba was more than able to bring forth a variety of magical and martial experts to help in her daughter’s training.
