Description

Long, long ago, there was once a destructive, demonic entity that ravaged the land. Its powers allowed it to regenerate from anything tossed at it. Eventually, a solution was reached, and the all powerful demonic being was transformed and sealed as a young child, its memories also locked away.
After this, people were chosen as the watchers over this former being, that required constant attention and the love of family to keep it from breaking the seal. The watchers and their descendants did a fine job, telling this child a story of how they were the hero that destroyed the monster, but cursed in the process to forever be a young child.
However, along the way, one of the watchers’ descendants got the amusing idea of dressing and treating this former powerful being as a baby, and even tricking the watchers that came after into believing that this was the proper way to deal with and care for him.
Named Omu, this young, former all powerful being of evil has become a trusting, and happy young child who doesn’t think to question those who care for him, or that he might actually be the demonic being and not the hero of the story.
As the ages went by, it is highly possible that the great evil and malice within this child dwindled away and deteriorated, replaced by the current Omu. However, nobody has considered this, and neither have the ones trying to return the former being to his former power.
For even if their former lord returns to his memories and powers, things just wouldn’t be the same.

This is a character that I briefly created way back in 2005. As I was looking through my old art, I found him and felt a desire to redraw him and give him a backstory. Granted, it’s a… weird idea and concept at hand.
