I have a confession to make.

I have....a LOT of nail polish. o_o;; To the tune of at least 150 colors. It consumes a salon shelf hanging on the wall behind my desk, as well as any available space close at hand. I've been religiously painting my nails a new color/pattern/style every week for over a year. This started as a thing to help me stop biting my nails, and has evolved into something that just bring me a peaceful sort of pride. Go you, something you did this week was not stressful and took patience and you rocked it. BOOM.

I prefer metallic polishes more than anything; I have a ton of glitters but I hate taking them off so they aren't as commonly used. I like smooth polish so you won't catch me using the fuzzy or textured types. Ugh. My favorite color is iridescent blue. @.i 'm trying to buy other colors to broaden the collection. My favorite brand is Sally Hansen Xtremes, because they seem to last much longer than most polishes, but I've had really good luck lately with Covergirl Outlast, too. I'll spend up to $10 on a color I really like. I don't hold a polish's brand against it.

Friends don't let friends use cheap polish without a quality topcoat. Also, Sally Hansen Miracle Cure is my best friend.

I've been trying to put more time into my nails lately, and this week's look is something I've been really happy with. It makes me think of stars and the reflection of the moon. Also, my polish usually starts chipping a bit by Thursday, and here it is Friday...no chips. WOO! I use Miracle Cure as my basecoat, then my polish is usually 3-4 layers, with the Xtremes topcoat.

Colors:
Base navy blue: Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant # 307 - "Sapphire Flare"
Metallic mid-tone: Pure Ice Frosted Ice # 633 - "Starry Nites" (omggg probably ten years old)
Glitter: China Glaze # 857 - "Dorothy Who?"
White: Pure Ice # 981CP - "Superstar!"
