Description I produced this short 2D animation in my final year at the cegep du Vieux-Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

It took a year to finish!!! Well, twould have taken less time if it werent for all the school/teaching process... but still... This is all hand drawn!! I created every element of production except for the drum loop in the soundtrack which was created by my good friend Yan Bleney.

I graduated in 2005 and officially got my diploma in 2D tradional animation.

Im an illustrator now. But that training in animation has helped me develop my skills in more ways then one!

The silhouette group coming out was creepy! I guess because they had the body like a big-butt spider. It made it more eery. I love the last expression...pretty smooth in frames.

I know what you mean about animation helping you out overall. I only had the one class at Joe Kubert's, but it really made you think more into pacing and storytelling.

Impressive piece of animation, well finished and with a good, unexpected twist. Killer flesh eating deers are... reminding me of the killer rabbit of the Monty Python, yet it has its effect.

Thanks dude! Actually this is all drawn by hand then scanned into a program (Opus animation) that vectorises the lines to make it easy to colour and such... The Backgrounds were also drawn by hand, then scanned into photoshop where I coloured them. Nope, no flash

I made this a favorite a while back, but I find I keep having to come back and watch it again. You really did a great job with this. I'm even more amazed that you drew it all by hand. The expressions on both the deer creatures and the komodo are great. I especially love that "aww, I'm sorry, but I still want to eat you!" expression at the end. Very adorable, it only makes me want one as a pet! haha... this video brightens my gloomy days.. great job!

lol... I don't just like it.. I love it! more and more each time I watch it. If I could pick double favorites out of my favorite collection, this would be at the top of the list. I guess it's sort of morbid that it brings a smile to my face, but the expressions were just so well done. I would really love to see some more animation by you!

They are actually called Mouse-Deer. They live in South-East Asia. They are the freakiest cutest things I could find at the time
