"AI has the potential to help artists!" I hear this argument all the time. But the trend I've been seeing recently is that its being used to replace artists, using the very artworks that artists spent a majority of their lives practicing and perfecting, often without permission and compensation.

It makes me sad that too many people are so apathetic towards this issue. It makes me sadder that DA is normalizing this. There are people out there generating AI content and selling it, like it's some big breakthrough. Some people are celebrating AI generated content like it's some great feat of technology. The truth is, it's theft. It stole work from artists to build itself up. And now it's stealing jobs from artists that were already struggling.

I urge you all, please understand. Artists are crying out, listen to their voices.
