"For over a millennia, my family had serve proudly in the royal army of Equestria, swore to protected the nation and our beloved royal ruler, Princess Celestia, who is wise and noble to all of her officials who will not question her by all means necessary.....................But now......all that means nothing.
....Since the return of Nightmare Moon and Discord, Celestia and the royal guards were proven weak to stop them. But once Nightmare Moon was defeated by this so called "chosen bearers," Celestia had the nerve to forgive that traitor and is now rulering aside with her while wandering free., which is disgraces of our ruler had done.
...Since the attack of changeling, Tirek, and the Storm King's army invasion to the capital, The royal army was proven to be pathetic, a laughing stock to the world, and yet Celestia does nothing. How could she continue to allow our nation to be hit in chaos.....and I will tell you why.....it magic.
Magic in this world has been nothing but trouble. it bring powerful beings with minions and armies to conquer us and treat us like slave. Magic doesn't allow our civilization to evolve. Magic had made ponies too depended on it, making them rotten, selfish, and corrupted. Magic had even brought us to end of the world when magic users like Twlight and Tirek who nearly destroyed the homes of ponies.
This factors are the reason I exiled my self from this selfish un-evolved nation. I could not stand seeing the ruler that my famly once serve proudly continues to fail the trust of the royal army and instead relies on magic, leaving solider to live in shame of embarrassment and dishonor of our profession. But then.....when I arrived to other far away nation, I realize these nation were highly evolved, their armies were well trained, strong, and skillful in art of war. What made them that way was not magic...........but technology. Never have I seen weapons of destruction so fascinating and useful to men. Guns were the ideal weapon of true soldiers, it even prove to self to be more powerful then magic, not even healing magic can save an enemies for the shot of this projectile weapon. I knew now that this will be the answers of improving the royal guards. I brought this ideas to many of the finest commanders in the royal army, seeing the same way as I do.
But when I brought this ideas to Celestia .................She rejected them. She thought they are unnecessary to our nation and should stay the same. Never have I become furious with her along with many other military commanders in the royal army. HOW COULD SHE DO THIS TO US!?!? ARE WE NOTHING MORE BUT PUPPETS, LAUGHING STOCK WHEN SHE AND HER SO CALL Trustful BEARERS OF HARMONY CONTINUE TO OPPRESS THE PONIES WITH MAGIC THAT BROUGHT NOTHING BUT DESTRUCTION TO THIS WORLD!?!?!

....I now know release...........the age of peace must come to an end. Its time for a new era where magic must be rid from this world
....an era when our nation will rise to progress along with other nation.....and a nation where technology can truly protect it selves to from outsider invaders. so if you truly believe in a new era of progress and might, join the revolution as we, the new government of Equestrian, shall defeat the tyranny of Celestia and her followers who believe his magic, and establish order and show the world that we are not to be tempered with.....and to this day....this revolution shall be.....the rise of modern warfare" *The old general pony finish speaking as he looks into the battlefield as 10s of thousand of imperial soldier continue firing their guns on the forces of the royal guards charging*

Hey guys, its me Gus. This is is a highly an inspiration of history that I do love studying alot, which is imperial warfare of 1800s. Now this was a century that really turned the civilization to the age of technology, where ancient nations like China, Japan, and many other turn away from old tradition to adapted the ways of westerner ideas. This was indeed a dark time for the world as European nations, including the rise of U.S. Expansion, continue conquer nations around the world. With these kind of ideas, I always wonder what if something simliar were to happen in the land of Equestria, adn this is what I come with so far XD.

This is also a hugd inspiration from one of my personal favorite war movies, "The Last Samurai." For those who don't know, its a action historical movie that took place in Japan 1870's that was in a war between the rising imperial Japan and the Samurais. Even though the movie is not really accurate, it does show the representation of how a small nation went from old ancient feudal society to a rising modern day imperial nation in order to establish relationship withe western powers but still keeping its old ways of what it meant to be a Samurai of its time serving its country.

With this in mind, it brought me to make this just for fun ^^. So yeah, hope you guys like it ^^.
