The ligthing setup of this scene is superb!
Pose and expression is great! Did you use AO (Ambient Occlusion) or just normal light sources and shadows?

If I recall right, I actually rendered two or three versions of that image and and then post processed them in Photoshop. So if I recall right as well, one of them had AO in them. The whole shebang was rendered in Carrara 6.

Oh WOW!

The depth of the shadowing and the lighting REALLY make this piece sing. The contrasts work... you did this in Carrara? I'm really impressed, it doesn't have that odd flat look Poser can get sometimes, looks more like a photograph!

Yep, Carrara.
And *leans in and whispers* three layers of different lighted images here... So, this isn't a straight render, it's relying on postwork, too....
