Description
this is my first fan art of the master piece that is Prometheus by the master of sci fi Ridely Scott and his studio Scott free (c)this is a study from memory of the Engineer that was in the film
but i have done him with a digital planet earth in his hand and dark intent in his eyes
i think this is possibly one of if not my best ever digital painting i have ever done

then i just edited it and warped it into the shapes i wanted
all the smokey dust effects i made just by playing with my brush settings on photo shop
created with photoshop cs5 and took around 4-5 hours from start till finish

The science in this movie was terrible. The plot had holes. The view was awesome.

In the book or the movie, and which woman? Prometheus had all the basic character types, nice woman who lives, bitch woman who dies (I;m amazed she lived that long.) emotionless machine, coward guys, evil corporation white guy... I could have played character bingo.

I didn't like ANY of the 'scientists' (Hey guise! Let's walk around without our helmets! That's safe right! Oop! Got infected! Huh, ancient alien head of a race that may have created us; priceless and deserving of years of careful study taking absolute care not to damage or alter it in any way... let's blast it with electricity until it explodes! Also or 'quarantine' is a plastic bag and working in the lab with just lab coats!)
And as I said, a 12 year old could have come up with a more sensible plot. (So... we're identical to these aliens... HOW does that work? What about chimps, they're 99% us, did the aliens create them, as well or what? Heck one guy at the beginning even says 'You're ignoring 300 years of darwinism' and it's explained with 'It's what I choose to believe' WTF? No actual I dunno, EVIDENCE? By the looks of things it seems more likely that WE created THEM.)
But sadly, sadly Vasquez ALWAYS dies (As TVTropes puts it.) 'cause apparently the soft, loveable family woman is more of a 'good' character.
