Meanwhile, Chase Young is actually amazed and pleased that Jack somehow managed to grow up into a promising villain and a fine young man. He finds it cute that Jack tries to pretend that he wasn’t an ex-Ultimate Chase Young Fanboy. Chase likes to tease and flirt with older Jack, but unfortunately, Jack thinks Chase is just being a jerk because Jack still thinks Chase hates his guts (hello, old trauma of being bullied by everyone ;w; ).

At first Chase doesn't get why Jack reacts so coldly towards his advances because surely Jack would be pleased that his favourite super villain idol is finally paying attention to him. But later, Chase slowly realized (maybe Wuya or the monks talk and/or beat some senses into him?) that his past unkind actions towards kid!Jack was the reason why older!Jack is wary of him *pikachu surprise face* !!!

Now Chase Young is scrambling to make things right (yeah, good luck with that).
