When I read this, makes me think on what if... Well, Dick choose jumps and end the pain he's feeling.
There should be a second part to this story, where Bruce comes in and comforts him.

The sad thing is that in the really old comics Dick was actually worried that Bruce would take in another Robin. Afterwards Bruce just tells him that there won't be another Robin but doesn't even look in Dick's eyes when he says it.
