Okay... I think I've just fallen in love with the Sherlock (BBC) series.I've been a (sorta recent) fan of Sherlock Homes ever since I saw the 2009 movie made by Guy Ritchie. From that movie I immediately bought the original books written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I gotta say, it's damn entertaining. I do enjoy reading mysteries and crime, but Sherlock Holmes is by far the most enjoyable mystery/crime book I've ever read. You can never beat the classics.
Now about how I got sucked into watching Sherlock, I actually don't remember... No wait! I was waiting for the new episodes of Glee to come out... but you know how long that takes and all, so I decided to look for a new series to watch while waiting. I was contemplating on whether to watch Supernatural or Sherlock.
I decided to give Sherlock a go since I've read the book. Plus the people in Tumblr seems to enjoy it.
Never ever doubt the Tumblr people! They were right! It's a fantastic show. I had doubts at first because they modernize the Sherlock storyline, I mean who modernizes Sherlock Holmes? You can't do that, I thought to myself.
But man! I'm glad they did! It's very cool how they incorporate the original books' storyline into the series and updating it into the 21st century. Sherlock now solves crime using technology! How sweet is that?
And the casts! GOOD GRAVY THE CASTS! Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are a perfect match! You can totally see their chemistry oozing out from the television (or in my case laptop screen, heh!) screen! Gosh they're so adorable! I really love Martin especially. He gets Dr. Watson. He really does. Dr. Watson is such a BAMF in this show. I want to squish him every time he goes on screen wearing such adorkable sweaters. Hahaha. XP
Lastly, the original book wasn't only about running around solving crimes after crimes, it's about friendship and loyalty between to people, Holmes and Watson. The Sherlock series did not forget this important element.
And that's why it's awesome. Totally.
SO GO WATCH IT NOW PEOPLE!

P.s: I can't wait for Season 2 to come out! *dies*

Hehehe love this show,and you've drawn them so well, i just want to cuddle them...again.. always been a Sherlock Holmes fan so when this came out it was a must see. Was so depressed when they said the next series isn't going to come untill next year, 3 amazing episodes is just not enough, even with all the amazing slash potential within each one.

I thought I was all Sherlocked out due to all of the recent new adaptations and thought to myself, this BBC thing, I am not sure about it, but then I watched it and EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AND LOVELY AGAIN.
I agree so much about the actors' chemistry! They really breathe new life into these treasured characters while making them their own. And you have totally captured them perfectly!

i've never read the books, but i'm told john and sherlock had almost as much . . . chemistry in the original as well. that being said i don't think i've seen that much blatant innuendo outside of a legit yaoi series. its sort of like death note; yeah its not technically canon, but when even the yaoi haters admit your point, it may as well be.

I got sucked into it too on accident. I was flipping through the channels and landed on ch. 10 where they were playing the first episode. At first I didn't know it was another version of Sherlock until they said his name. I got sucked in. I told my friends about it and they got sucked in too. Love your picture!
