Appearance: Laurent has gone from a strange, lanky, rather underweight young colt to finally start to fill out and grow into his legs - his last year of spending as much time away from his home on the better ground has done the stag good.

Defects:
Overgrown teeth - he was born with teeth protruding over his lower lip, getting somewhat worse over his first few years. This doesn't seem to affect him much yet, apart from looking goofy.
Epilepsy - born with the condition, his epilepsy has gone mostly unnoticed by everyone apart from his grandmother - who tells nobody of it of fear his father will hurt him further. This is mostly subtle; often tenses up and fazes out for a few moments before it passes - although with each year it grows longer and more noticeable, and more often in occurrence.

History: Born to Balzac and Renée, from the onset he was different - his pelt not the dark like that his parents and his siblings have, and he was much weaker in his first few weeks. His father was ready to leave him to whatever fate he had when his mother pleaded to give him a chance. His father agreed through gritted teeth, but he showed no pride or love to Laurent like he did the rest of his children - but he was greeted with cold and verbal aggression whenever he approached. No love came from his siblings neither - all detesting him for the 'failure' his father described him as. His father often lashed out on him but never went as far as physically attacking but verbal was never off the card; only his mother shielding her young son from his rage. Once he reached a year old, his mother suddenly passed away almost overnight - causing even more emotion to be thrown across the family, and most directed towards Laurent as he was passed to another doe his father had to raise him. This was the first time he was in the mids of his many siblings, not having his mother to shield him away anymore. All of them were much older, bigger, rougher and bolder than he was so he often got trampled over. Who wanted to hang with such a weak strange colt anyway?

Once his mother passed away, his grandmother picked up almost the role of mother to him while the doe who took him on showed very little interest in the weak colt. She was well past her prime, and spent he days collecting herbs so he often followed her to keep himself out of the house, away from his father and brothers. As soon as he got to his third year his father started to crack down on him and started his training - trying to hammer into him the same lessons he taught his other sons, although Laurent was still much weaker and smaller than them. Training became more intense in his 6th year, with his father trying to shape him into the solider like his brother to no avail.

Years went by with little to no reprieve from his father and his harsh training. Seasons melted into years and suddenly he was in the prime of his life, yet still feeling like a child. Now spending more and more time away from his home "patroling", he knows there is much more to life than what he is living now. He only needs to gain the strength to take the first step...
