Hi everybody,

this is my first upload for sharing some of my brushes with you.
I searched along the internet and noticed that there are not really any brushes with a feeling of inking with real ink (at least with a less digital feel). So I decided to create my own - but I also want that anyone searching for inking-brushes for Photoshop maybe find my brushes useful - those who doesn't want to use Painter or any other software.

Look at my preview image - it is entirely inked with my digital ink-brushes. Very comic-book-like. (I'll work this lineart out traditionally after printing it on paper later on).

Just download my ZIP-File and add the abr to your brushes.

Info:

You are allowed to use my brushes for commercial- and personal projects.
Don't claim them as your own.
You are also allowed to share this brushes with others - but you have to mention my username "Brollonks" and link to my dA-profile.
Just upload my ZIP-file anywhere you want, my inkbrushes are free to use.

I created them in Photoshop CS4, so I don't know if they work with previous versions of Photoshop.

Important: My inkbrushes have many settings activated which are important for the ink-stroke - if you have a slower pc it could cause some slow downs. (don't make the size of the brushes too big, less than 20 should work)

In my opinion it feels very much like inking traditionally. If you use a Wacom Intuos 3, you may try the springloaded nibs - with those it feels very good.

I hope you enjoy drawing with my brushes.

But don't forget: There is nothing as realistic as the real traditional ink. If you need to practice, then you have to do it all the time with the real tool. My brushes won't make you a better artist, but they will help your digital lineart to get a more traditional feel (at least I think so).

Try to play arround with the flow-setting (not in the brush option) to get a bit smoother lines or try to change the minimum size. I recommend not to disable any of the settings, my brushes may lose their traditional feel.

If you have any questions drop me a line here - but if you want to be sure that I notice your question, write me a note or an email.

Happy drawing (inking) and if you like you can show me what you've created with my inkbrushes.

Greetings,

- David
