Wow! Gorgeous oil portrait. I love the way you painted her flesh tones. Her skin looks very soft and I can see many layers of color in it. I especially love the shadows on her face. Wonderful attention to detail and an outstanding job! Thanks for sharing.

Really stunning! I've had a look at some of your gallery and your art is really great- I'm surprised that you get so few favourites- you should consider submitting your art to groups- like the portrait club etc to give people chance to see your work

I don't really use this site much, like, I never really do much on here other then upload then close the page.. I had a design stolen off deviant art (it still had the DA watermark) a while back and posted all over the web on different tattoo design sites, so I got a bit annoyed at that, and cancelled my account, I'm back on now obviously, but yeah, haven't had much as much to do with it, I do a lot more with my website and facebook page

God. Art theft makes me so angry. Honestly. It's such a foul thing to do, just downright take someone's shit and use it- especially for potential profit- I can't imagine recieving praise for work someone else did being satisfying... I mean, if the person wanted a tattoo of your design they could have just asked... I am trying to get good at drawing and what not and have to use at least pose references for everything I do. The occasional thing I do without reference, well it's obvious because it looks shitty. But if I use someone's art then either (if I'm painting their photo or something, I link and generally ask) I don't tend to put links if I just get an idea- so if it's very loosely based off something I usually mention it... But actual theft makes me wanna wring people's necks :S

yeah well that's the thing, if they had of just asked me, I would have been fine, just would have liked my name under it or something, but now I'm hoping that it won't happen as easily with these girls, I think it was more just that it was a tattoo design, I don't mind if people want to use them as references or anything like that, I used to do that a lot with my work to, but then the last few years I've been trying to just take all my own photos, avoid any issues that way

julezz30 In reply to bronart [2012-03-28 07:39:24 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. I once used a photomanip that I thought was an official HP thing (so can't be used for profit but everyone uses them for fanstuff) and did a digital painting that was almost exactly based off it (but I actually painted it from scratch) and had a bit of a problem with that. So now unless it's just a very rough pose reference, I pretty much only use stock (and give credit to the person and link them my art)
