UPDATE 04/27/19: Adjusted her colours and face to look like her Season 8 canon design.

Here she is! I’ve been working on this for a couple weeks, looking at screenshots, watching the trailers on repeat (in slow motion), trying to capture every detail to make sure this could look as stylistically official as I could make it. And I must say, I think I’ve done pretty well! I tried to keep the pose just a little simple in regards to concept art.

I observed the new facial features for a loooong time to try and draw them right, and I hope I did both the new art style and Diaspro justice here! I never knew how easy it was to screw up individual eyelashes until I drew her eyes here, lol!

I originally used her canon palette from Seasons 5/6, but then I remembered that the Season 8 style is severely washed out and watered down, so I muted her colours a little bit and experimented with hues. This was actually the 4th design I’ve done; the others were completely different in design and colour composition. I loved this one best so I kept going with it. I didn’t want to use too many different colours since Cosmix seems to be fairly simple in regards to colour combinations, so I just used different shades of red.

I didn’t know what to do for hair, since their Cosmix hairstyles are either fairly simple ones or variations of hairstyles they’ve had previously. So for Diaspro, I decided to just grow it out, make the bangs a little longer and more detailed to fit the new art style. The rest was thanks to the wonderful Enchantedflower , with a few very slight modifications.

Overall, I genuinely think this turned out really cute, and similar enough to the new canon style. If you wanna draw this design, please let me know! I was also hugely inspired by Bloom2 and HimoMangaArtist ! Check out their Cosmix fanarts here:
