Description This picture of the Flame Alchemist, Colonel Roy Mustang, was a request from ~violet-darkchild I live with her, so I had to get it done

I know the background is really bad, and it SHOULD be flames, but I just couldn't make it fit. My attempts at drawing fire were way off tonight, and using fire brushes just looked odd. So...

I have been trying to find a style of lineart that I really like, not necessarily unique, but something that feels comfortable - this was one of the things I tried, I did a few pics that way. Glad you like it ^_^

I'm glad you like him, after all, I drew this for you!
As for drawing one of the two of you... I'll see what I can do. More likely to have Mustang lighting you on fire, than to have you fighting together, but who knows

To the rescue! [link] this is where I learned how to do fire Otherwise, I like background, it looks like scorched paper to me and considering how much paper he was surrounded by I think it fits well I like how you went with a soft lineart as well, that looks good

Oh, you're my hero! That tutorial looks good - makes it seem so easy!!
I'm glad that the background looks like scorched paper, I figured if I couldn't do the actual fire I could maybe imply it's effects ^_^

Thanks for the comment on the lineart, too. It's something new I learned and I like it. I think I am gonna stick with it for a while, at least till I finish all the pictures I have started
