Description Where are all the Earth Ponies in the royal guard? Wearing the baddest mother-$%@#ing armor ever! I figured without needing to maintain mobility for spell-casting/flight Earth Pony armor is free to turn a royal guard into a fortified fighting machine... assuming they can move under all of that armor. I may need to rethink this plan.

I based some of the design off of Dwarven Armor in Skyrim. Maybe if I make some night guard heavy armor I'll base it off Orchish, Ebony, or Daedric armor.

Looks like a Steel Ranger from Fallout:Equestria.

Nice and awesome.

Now all we need is to add force-multiplying servo-motors, internal magic-powerplant, life-support systems, internal padding, Reactive Metal Liquid Crystal Layer, make the outer shell titanium, make it completely airtight, add a magic-shield generator, a magnetic saddle to hold the weapons, and we have ourselves a power-armour.

Luna, "Celly, what do you think of MY Royal Guard Heavy Armor?"

Celestia, "Lulu, armor covered in razor sharp spikes haven't been practical in centuries."

ya, does look a bit clunky, perhaps remove the armor off the tail, but im just throwing out opinions on the design of the armor in general.

This is very creative, I've never thought of combining aspects of MLP and Skyrim togeather. Good work

I'm just worried that guard won't have to end up standing here saying:

Guard: *muffed* Oil can! Oil can!

*chuckles* nice Wizard of Oz reference ^.^

but ya, i totally understand the Skyrim-Logic behind this. Pegasus are fast and agile, Unicorns are... well... magical, so that leaves earth ponies to be bulky, durable, and hard to stop once they get going. I'd have to get back into Skyrim and give a good look at the Dwarven Armor to come up with better ideas to make it feel less clunky.

But you've totally captured the Fortified, Armored-Warrior feel to the armor (and this is coming from an Oblivion/Skyrim Heavy-Armor Marauder player).

LOL, I totally though of Dwarven Armor when I saw the preview. Yeah, I think it would be best for you to do Daedric. THAT would be awesome. Nice idea

I'll admit, this does look pretty badass, and I can definitely see the Dwarven elements (when I first saw this, I thought it was looking at a ponified Dwarven Centurion).

Also, with the concept of Heavy armor in the Equestrian Royal Guard, I suggest you check this out: [link] It actually follows a fairly similar way of thinking that you did, though the design is completely different.

Also, the rest of that particular Ask-Pony tumblr has some pretty good info on the Royal Guard.
