From the manga and anime series Death Note, Shinigami (死神, Shinigami? literally meaning "death god") are a race of extra-dimensional beings who survive by killing humans to extend their own lives.Shinigami in this series are not responsible for every death that occurs; people will eventually die regardless of whether or not the Shinigami pay attention to them, but a Shinigami can end their lives sooner than intended for their own benefit.
Ryuk (リューク, Ryūku?) is the main Shinigami of the Death Note series. Bored with the activities of the Shinigami realm, Ryuk obtains a second Death Note and drops it in the human realm for someone to find, hoping to amuse himself. He deliberately writes the instructions on the front page (in English, which he assumed to be the most popular language in the human realm) so people would understand its purpose. The Death Note is discovered by a student, Light Yagami

I'm also a fan of Death Note. In fact I own the complete series and I've seen it a few times. Ryuk is one of my favourite characters because sometimes he just cracks me up. It's kinda a shame what happened in the end of the anime, but Light in a way deserved it

I like both L and light, mainly because of their sharp wit to challenge each other.

Yes, but as the story gets further, Light believes more and more that he really IS the god of the world! That's sick...
And that L was willing to sacrifice his life for the kira case shows how brave he really is.

Like your spin on that, gives me a different opinion on Light now, none the less the charscters are well developed. Its that strong of a toon that it can question one's moral

Yes, both L and Light are working for justice, but they have different point of views on how to create it.
I've even read once that... I don't remember if it was Tsugumi Ohba or Takeshi Obata that claimed... but anyway that if Light hadn't found the Death Note, he would in the future as an adult work side with side for justice with L. And L would even be his friend for real! Amazing isn't it?

Thats pretty interesting! The idea of Light and L as a genuine team. They'd be killer, putting all investigations to rest.

I know everyone else has said this but this really is perfect, you could not have done better on it. I tried drawing Ryuk and failed miserably.

I love it, Ryuk is my favorite, this is so well done I may put my picture up of ryuk on my page later on so you can see. This is soo cool...but I couldn't help but notice XD looking at your main page that Ryuk and wonderwoman look kinda like thier in the same pose just flipped, XD made me laugh.
