Description
Rose couldn't beleive that she was finally going to Hogwarts.  She had heard so much from James and Teddy.  Rose only hoped it was as great as they said it was.

" Wanna go find a compartment?" she asked her cousin, who was staring out the window.

"Sure."Al sighed.

"Your still worrying about what house you'll be sorted in aren't you?"

"Yeah, but it's not as bad as i thought."Al said not trying to show his lie.

"Good."Rose said not convinced" Let's go find a compartment." Walking down the train she finally found an empy compartment.  Opening the door and putting her trunk under the the seat Rose sat down and engrossed herself in a book.  As Al sat down the door slid open and a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes that were almost grey walked in.

"Can I sit here every where else is full?" he asked them.

"Sure, have a seat." said Al Rose still engrossed in her book did not event notice the boy.

"Thanks, I'm Scorpius Malfoy." said the boy.

"Albus Potter, but you can call me Al."

"Nice to meet you Al and you can call me Scorps, Wats your name?" He asked as Rose looked at him for the first time.

"Rose Weasley and your name is ?"

"Scorpius Malfoy nice to meet you."

" I thought I knew you from some where!" Rose exclaimed," My dad and your dad went to school together and we saw you at the station."

"Yeah and my dad works with your dad." Al said.

"Ya I know and before you yell at me I am not like my dad at all.  I support muggle borns and half-bloods and I thought what Voldemort did was really wrong." Scorpius said in one breath.

"Dude it's ok we're not like our parents at all." Al with a chuckle.

"Yeah, we may have inheirted looks and some talents but not the same veiws." Rose told Scorpius.  Scorpius sighed heavily.

"Thank god It's so hard to make friends with a father like mine." Scorpius said looking relieved.

" So we are friends?" Rose asked.

"Yeah only if you want to." Scorps said.

"Of course we will!" Rose exclaimed while giving him a hug.  Scorpius blushed heavily, but could hide it because her red curls fell into his face.

As the door slide open James said mockingly" Ohh Rosie's got a little boyfriend!"

Pulling away quickly Rose yelled at him" He's not my boyfriend we've only just met!"

James seeing who she was hugging suddenly got very serious" Rose you do relize that you just hugged a Malfoy and if your father found out...."

Cutting him off,"He won't find out cause your not gonna tell him cause if you do I'll tell Uncle Harry who stole the Maurader's Map and you leave late at night to go see Amy."

"You wouldn't."

"I would and you know it." Rose said confidentley knowing she had won.

"Just leave James ok." Al said tired of his brother always pushing other people around.  James glared at him then turned and slammed the compartment door on his way out.

"Sorry bout that so what house do you guys wanna be in?" Al asked.

" Anything but Slytherin for me."Scorpius said," I wanna break the tradition."

"Gryfndor for me." Rose told him.

"Same here." Al said.  The trio talked the entire way to the stop.  Rose noticed how much Sorpius was different from his father.  He didn't think slicking back his hair was cool,he had a great sense of humor, and he was very charming.  When Rose went to change into her robes he jumped up to open the door for her only to recieve an odd glance from Al though.  Maybe he isn't so bad after all she thought.

Finally after what seemed forever to the excited first years they arrived.

"First Years This Way!" a voice boomed ovet the childrens chatter.

"Hey Hagrid." Rose and Al said at the same time.

"Rose!AL! How good it is to see you." Hagrid said to the pair.

"Whoah."Was all Scorpius could say.

"All righty then four to a boat. Hurry now." Hagrid told the excited first years.  Once again Rose was surprised by Scorpius's charm as he helped her into the boat.  The ride was silent except for the sounds of the boats against the water.  When they reached the castle Scorps helped her again and they were met by a professor in green robes.

"Hello I'm Professor Longbottom," ignoring a few snickers he continued," Follow me to the Great Hall for the Sorting." Rose followed the rest of the group to a pair of large wooden doors.  Professor Longbottom pushed them open to reveal four long tables filled with students.  Rose couldn't help but stare at the ceiling. She continued to stare and wonder still the sorting began.

As the Sorting began she noticed how each table was different.  Gryfndors cheered loudly when someone was put in their house and clapped politely when someone wasn't. Hufflepuffs just clapped politely for everyone.  Ravenclaws weren't paying attention and were reading books smuggled in or having whispered conversations and only looked up at all when someone was put in their house.  Slytherins were loud and noisy the entire time.  Cherring when someone was put in their house and booed loudly when someone wasn't.

"Malfoy,Scorpius." Longbotton called.  Scorpius walked to the stool where the old hat was put on his head.  After a few moments the hat yelled out," Slytherin!" Scorpius's face fell and he walked slowly to the cheering table.  Rose felt so bad for him especially when she heard someone yell " Once a Slytherin always a Slytheren".

"Potter,Albus" Longbottom called. Al was so nervous he was shaking. As Longbottom placed the hat on his head he gabe Al a sympathic look. The hat looked like it was thinking very hard then it finally yelled," Slytherin!" Almost everyone in the room gasped and James yelled,"No!" along with severel Weasley cousins.  Al looked like he was in a daze as he stumbled to the Slytherin table and sat down next to Scorpius.  Rose continued to stare at him until she heard,

"Weasley,Rose" yelled by Longbottom.  Rose walked confidentley to the hat and put it on her head where it slipped below her eyes.

A voice in her head kept talking to her," Good mind and a good heart, but yet.........," Rose was really scared now.  What was wrong with her?  Finally the hat yelled," Gryfndor!"  She sighed in relief and walked over to where James had made room for her.  Rose looked over to Al who smiled at her and clapped along with Scorpius.  Rose instantly felt bad and her happiness popped like a balloon for she was where her favorite cousin longed to be.
