I dont know where i'm goingJust that i'm walking
Down the halls of my youth
Remembering all that is done
Remenicing my childhood days
The good and the bad
The rusty old swing
My first grazed knee
My first split lip
My fith christmas
A gift from mum and dad
The old water bowl
My puppy's
He's gone now
Long gone
I walk
The trampoline
A present from santa
My old bunny
Still living strong
16 years old.
Not of flesh
But with a heart of gold
He'll be there
Always
Covered in many a tear
Smothered by many a hug.
My first concert
He was there
In my arms
Making me strong
Soft as cotton
White as snow
My bugsy dear.
Hanging by my side
Paw in hand
We walk.
Re-living every momment
Before the house
Broke.
The walls seep with memories
The lives that ended
The lives that were changed
The lives that still live
The ghosts that walk
These halls
Never in peace
Never resting
Always haunting.
My room,
My sanctuary
My home
Walls of purple
Roof of white
Floor of wood
Words unsaid
Many spoken apologies
Spooky celler
Home of spiders
I walk to get away,
From the worlds haunts
And horrors
The hidden truths
And the sands of time
Repeating.
I find my self in my corner
Against the wall on my bed
Holding bugsy tight,
"Please my knight
Its time again
Rise once more
Take my hand
Take my heart
And free me
At last"
I whispered
To my bunny
A single tear
Falls down my cheek
I sleep,
Clutching my bunny tight
No one can harm me here
No one can hurt me
When he's in my arms
My bugsy dear

Lovely poem indeed! I love the details that you put into this, not to mention the words that you used and how you've skillfully used them. I too have stuffed toys that I still hang on to quite tightly, who've been with me in many an event for many years, and who've had multiple "operations" done on them numerous times. I can definitely relate to this work, and I really like the job you did with it. Keep up the excellent work!

I think my old rabbit was live for a long time, about fourteen years or so then my dad forced me to get rid of it. I dreamed about bunnies last night though. You're lucky to still have yours and be so close to it
