Thanks for the help. Besides Sumi-e, in Japan ink-wash paintings are also called suibokuga, in China (the country of the origin) - shui-mo hua, in Korea - sumukhwa. Sumi- (shui-; sumu) 墨 stands for "ink". May be you'll found it interesting.

Thanks, buddy! Yes, it has the predator and prey motif, exactly, with all "who will survive?" trill in it... The oriental paintings are so good in putting all those philosophic undertones in a seemingly simple theme...

The red sign is a chinese seal, which is is often presents on oriental paintings, prints, documents, and such. I don't know how the red seal print is called (probably "zhusha"), but the stone chop itself is called "Yinzhang" or "Tuzhang". I had one carved for me during my visit to China last year.
The "seal" you see here is digitally made - as well as the whole picture . It's a character for "flower", my artistic signature
