Okay, it's not my favorite but again I'm practicing.Yes I am still workin' on TSOA. I'm practicin' now so you'll get a good intro for this epic contest.
I was playin' with some lighting efx on Photoshop, that thing is epic, so yeah enjoi :3

Ah, I've found it really helpful to color on separate layers. That way when you're working on your background you don't have to worry about coloring on your character, same thing with final line art. :3 My layers usually go
Bottom ------------------->>> Top
BG > Base/skin > clothing > Line art
It takes a while, but it's fun and it helps a lot with colors.

Can I make a suggestion to either fade the background out a bit or maybe change the color outline to his hair? x3 That way it may blend in a bit better, but otherwise aww. xD I like it. It's very...battle-esque.
