Description
Koryos, the Indo-European Männerbund or warband. The youth of the tribe are expelled into the wild with a wolf skin, a belt, a knife, and a spear, and made to fend for themselves. They become wolves, living as hunters and raiders. The wild hunt returned to life, the dead heroes of the tribe's history posses the bodies of the youths, preserved at the height of their vitality and youth. It does not matter if they die, for they are already dead. They will not cut their hair, they will smear their bodies with ochre and clay and soot. They will take treasures, cattle, horses, weapons, and wives, and will return to the tribe as men.
