Description
Shakespeare, the bard both player and playwright,
Lived in London and Stratford-on-Avon.
The twenty third of April, born and died,
Now cent'ries later his writing lives on.
Death and murder become a great burden
With tragedies like Macbeth and Hamlet.
Young boys played girls who then would dress as men
In comedies Twelfth Night and As You Like It.
He meddled with love and other affairs
Though all was Much Ado About Nothing
Fairies' magic lets confusion ensnare
In the depths of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
The plays written by Shakespeare before death
Shall be known until all men hath lost breath.
