So now with Young Justice getting a season three (and hopefully many more after) I wonder if they're going to play out the Red Hood story.

I didn't even watch young justice that much until I heard Jason had cameo I thought it was so so, but They at least gave My favorite robin a shot out

Me too! I heard of Young Justice and I was a bit skeptical about it because I was sort of losing hope in cartoons (Brave and the Bold di not help) but then I heard Jason made a cameo and I was like: "Better check it out". Boom, best thing I ever watched. Thank you Jason for pulling me towards it.

I can understand where you're coming from, about the weariness for Young Justice after Batman Brave and the Bold, to be honest nothing comes close to Batman the animated series even though they basically gave Tim Jason's back story. It was the first thing that really got me into batman, so I'm a bit biased on the subject. Have you seen Batman: Under The Red Hood, I love it so much!!!

Batman The Animated series is what launched the DCAU. We got Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Superman The Animated Series, Zeta Project, and Justice League Unlimited. Probably the best era of cartoons.
After the DCAU was all said and done, we got Teen Titans, another good show. Batman may not have physically been there but his presence was felt in Robin. Then we got The Batman, something from the creators of The Jackie Chan Adventures. It was a pretty awesome show (not as good at Batman TAS) but still great.
I actually started getting more into the comics at that point, the Nolan movies also helped. I knew a few things here and there, like the fact that there were different Robins (but at the time I only knew of Dick and Tim). When I was going through some forums about who Red X (from Teen Titans) was, I then caught wind of Jason Todd. Instantly I wiki'd him. Boom, probably one of the most interesting characters ever. I was always more into Marvel comics but he really drew me into the Batman mythos (and I already loved Batman).
First comic book I ever bought on my own was Red Hood the Lost Days (since I could not find Under the Hood). After I read the full book, I decided to see where I could find Jason in any bit of media aside from the comics. Under the Red Hood (film) blew me away. I later actually red the comic (which was not as good in some areas but also better in others).
Anyway, I'm glad I found out about Young Justice... I just wish it wasn't cancelled.

Batman The Animated series will always have a special place in my heart, and the rest of the cartoons that came after it such as Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Justice League (original and) Unlimited are classics in my book. However I'm not a fan of Superman so I never got into serious based on him. The Batman was an interesting take as it showed him in the beginning of becoming batman were other T.V. series he tended to be farther along in his path to be Gotham's protector. Jason Todd is my one of my all time favorite characters, I checked out every comic book involving him from the library I could, and still try and find whatever I can involving him, (I have't got any of the Red Hood and the Outlaws serious but have seen some sections of it online and really like it and how Jason is in the story-line). I was originally a major DC fan but as I got deeper into actual comic books and graphic novels. I became a huge Marvel fan and to be honest if Batman was a Marvel character there would be no question which publisher was my favorite, (of course I still love DC for so many things)
It was sad to hear about young justice, I was hoping they would bring in some other teenage heroes that have been neglected by the mainstream, but I heard there was a new show Beware the batman I believe, so maybe that will be a promising show I think its already aired not entirely sure, anyway always nice to hear others who know where I am coming from

Here's my problem with the DC New 52's Red Hood and the Outlaws... they tamed Jason. I'll be honest, I do not like a tame Jason. I like seeing him violent, wrathful, full of rage, while still being able to wise-crack like Dick Grayson. In Outlaws, he's not any of that. He's no longer portrayed as a threat and most of the time shown as just a lonely hero. He even has a random civilian love interest that is totally okay with him and his crusade. He can hardly bring himself to kill anymore and most of the time feels bad about it. Only interesting thing that has happened is the most recent arc with him taking over the League of Shadows. Something I would very much like if he was still the old Jason.

No other character could inspire such a fandom reaction with just a picture!
Also, the revelation that he has already died gives Nightwing's line in episode 1 of season 2 much more dramatic weight: "Just don't die" (like Jason!)

If you ask me, Tim Drake is overrated. He is only more popular because of DCAU. The makers even said they liked Jason better, but he was too violent to be put in. Plus, back in Jason's time, people didn't like having a Robin with attitude.
Now everyone loves Jason, but the mainstream is just to scared to use him. Seeing him in Young Justice made me feel hope that Red Hood may come to be, even if his role is being kind of given to the real Roy Harper now.
In short, yes. I spazzed at first. Couldn't help it. I'm a dude and I still had a total nerd spasm.
