Eric is a high school senior and the son of a vampire hunter. His father works for an organization that hunts and experiments on vampires, and at the moment he is a vampire hunter in training. But besides the fact that he has finished all his training, his father has yet to let him go on an official hunt because he's afraid of his son getting killed. Eric is always trying to prove himself to his father which causes him to be kind of a perfectionist in everything he does. By chance, his father decides its time to let him go on his first hunt. which is where he meets Blare. Besides knowing that as a vampire hunter he is supposed to capture or kill any vampire that he comes across, he finds himself in a tight situation which leads to Blare having to save his life and he makes the mistake of letting her go knowing she is a first rated vampire and it is highly ILLEGAL to not capture or kill a vampire. HE finds himself having to keep this secret from his father in fear that they both may be in serious trouble if anyone finds out.
