My contest entry for 6th gen Ash contest in this group -> .Sadly I have no time to color this. Still I hope you like it.
P.S. Ash during 6th gen... he is still ten, he still wants battle and has the cap. New companions? I want they bring 1st gen companions back!!!

It is lovely that Misty holds Froakie in her arms. She would probably love Froakie very much I'm sure.
Friendship is one of the most important aspects of the pokemon anime and it is very bad writing in my opinion that Ash doesn't have any contact with Misty anymore. But we still have our imagination.

I completely agree with you! It hurts me how easy Ash change companions remembering about old friends usually once per season as if it doesn't mean anything for him((( but we have our imagination)))

Misty's been gone for 10 years, its obvious she's never coming back. If the writers really cared about Misty, she would have come back after Hoenn ended.
Besides Misty largely got boring in Johto anyway, and it was time for new characters.

How many people, so many opinions. For me Misty never was boring. And I want she has come back. I understand that creators probably don't want it, but it can't prevent me dreaming.

I miss Brock and Misty too, but if they can't bring Misty back, maybe they should bring back May. She was pretty cool, and Max might be a trainer by this point. I like how you drew Ash, it's just that pose!

I love Misty more then other characters, so I want it will be she who will return. But I understand your feelings. I like May and Max, and it would be interesting for me to see them in show again.

Meh, they've had their time and they have their own goals now. Misty became a much better trainer and is the true gym leader. Brock wants to be a doctor. Neither need to travel anymore. We miss 'em, but they can't come back. Like your designs though!

Misty's sisters began travel although they were gym leaders. Why can't Misty take a rest and go to new journey? Her sisters can substitute for her. Doctor can travel too. He can be helping people and pokemon in hard to reach regions. They can come back if Pokemon Company will decide to do it.

Well, her sisters aren't traveling for training. Misty is the only one left at the gym, and it's pretty obvious her sisters have little to no Pokemon skills, as they're more focused on their water ballets. I don't know if Misty would want to take an extended break from the gym, as it might get shut down for not having a leader. She could, I suppose, but her dream was to be a gym leader. And Brock is still in doctor school, so he wouldn't be going on a journey anytime soon. But yeah, it technically is possible, but it's more likely they're not coming back.

How I remember, while her sisters were gym leaders, no one wanted to shut it down. It have occured only when it hadn't the leader and it was closed. Maybe they are not so bad, how we think.
I believe that Misty has more important dream than to be gym leader... But it's only my faith and some disputable episodes from serial.
I understand probability is small, but I still dream to see them again.

Mm, I don't really remember. Let's see... Bulbapedia says that often they neglect being leaders and that they just gave away badges, showing that maybe being gym leaders was a lost dream. The way I see it, Misty grew up constantly in their shadow, so them being gym leaders was something she strove for. Even when they gave it up, it was Misty's dream. I guess that, at least at the beginning, she wasn't as good a trainer as her sisters were. Who knows their skills, maybe they're just lazy, maybe they just thought water ballets would be more fun than training. While I agree Misty definitely had a huge crush on Ash, I don't think that was her "dream," per say. At least, not at the begining, and I don't think right "now" in the anime standards. That's just what I think, and you're entitled to your own opinion.

They just gave away badges only to Ash because before him Gary was in the gym and beat all their pokemons, as I remember. But I agree that they don't seem strong trainers. I understand now your feelings and your opinion. And I respect this. Tracey is good and kind man. I love him. But still I'm more traditional)) I'm pokeshipper.
If to say about anime standarts, they all must die(( I really hate this, but the greatest part of anime, that I have seen, ended tragically.

Yeah, alas, they probably won't listen. But I still believe at Ash, Misty and Brock reunion. And who knows... Maybe, one day screenwriters really will decide to bring Ash's old friends back. Story about friendship that lives so many years even when friends can't see each other, even when they are not trainer and pokemon... It would be a good story for this anime.
(to be honest, I as pokeshipper hope for something more , but I will be very happy if Misty and Brock just will be Ash's companions again)
