idk what i'm doing. this should be in scraps because it's so sketchy & quick and i had no idea how to draw these things BUT it is very important for my current mental state to see these good soldier lads in my gallery. :')

It's Commander Cody, Captain Rex, and Commander Wolffe from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
just listen-- i wasn't a star wars fan prior to watching this show but OH BOY. was anyone going to tell me this show was actually super good?? my emotions are in turmoil. I like this show better than the movies. I just. really needed to draw some of the clones to keep my heart from crumbling LOL.

I drew Cody & Rex since they're Obi-Wan & Anakin's right-hand men, and I drew Wolffe because I just think he and his Wolfpack are neat lol. (C-3PO and R2-D2 are irritating him in this pic.) I really wanted to put Fives in here too (and Echo), but I got tired. I could sit here and name off a bunch of other clones I could've drawn, but I needed to cut it off at some point. i love them all though. ;-; cries this series gives me too many feels.

I got attached to so many characters and they felt so real, which just makes it more devastating when they kill characters off because I really care for them. I was surprised at how dark & twisted this show gets at times -- like, I am a 22-year-old adult and I was genuinely horrified at some of the things that happen here. but then i also love the humor and how naturally it fits into everything else, and how the character interactions feel natural too. This show can get intense, it genuinely stresses me out during some episodes LOL.
Also, since the show started in 2008, it's actually pretty cool and interesting to see how everything improves as you watch -- idk, i just like animation, so it's cute when you notice the lighting, movements, and expressions improving, etc.
ok, this has become a review of a cartoon show at this point LOL, but i love this series now.

And let me just say, that I had never seen Revenge of the Sith before watching this show (although I knew about Order 66 and some basics that happened in it), and I WAS NOT PREPARED for Cody to be in that movie! I assumed he was a character created for the show, so when my sister and I watched RotS a couple of days ago.... let's just say it was a huge punch in the gut (((((-: wow i'm shook and will never recover from that. if you know why, then you know why LOL. rip to my soul

The drawings are based on things that happened in episodes. Cody & Obi-Wan's dialogue is based on S2E10, Rex's was from S5E8 (i also just referenced his entire pose for that), and I made up Wolffe's dialogue but the scene it's based on is from S4E5.

just ignore their armor though -- i know they go through "phases" of different armor, but i was too lazy to figure out which armors i wanted to draw on them so i just grabbed whatever references were easiest for me to find and drew those lol. if there's some inaccuracies, it's because i don't know what i'm doing.

anyway. cries. i still want to draw like 50 other characters (i mean,,, a lot of them clones LOL) but i don't have time right now, i gotta work on some other WIPS i have. i'm just really missing this series already (and it's not even over yet!! OOF i didn't realize S7 was still airing until I caught up a few days ago! but it's so close to being over since this is the last season and we've entered the very final arc, and i'm gonna miss seeing the characters so much 😭). so i did this to heal the hole in my soul.
so. bye. drawing these were difficult and scary even with references because i'm so inexperienced with humans -- let alone THIS kinda stuff but it was fun anyway. and i'm surprised i was able to get it done quickly and within a day.
