Thanks! I try hard to capture his likeness and unique 'essence', but I've never been good at portraits... it's just one of those things :-P

Oh I know all about it :3 I like doing portraits, but I have to be in a special sort of mood to do them, and I get extremely cranky when I fail to capture a person's, as you say, essence.

Don't give up, though, you've come pretty far already!

Don't even get me started on the 'crankiness' I feel when I know I just failed

But as you can imagine by looking at my gallery, portraits aren't really my thing (I'm more of a cartoons/comics/caricature kind of guy), it's just something I like to go for once in a while... even if it's just to see how horrible it turns out :-P

P.S.: really like your portraits though!
