It's a beautiful place really, once you get past the human influence on its decay. (Scrappers ripping the copper pipes out, junkies and kids scrawling graffiti on the walls...) I've learned more about low lighting photography here than I ever have at a concert I've shot. I was drawn to the buildings the moment I first visited them. It's oddly comforting, walking the halls where decades ago patients walked the same path I take.Thank you for the comment, I always appreciate those who take the time to leave one.

oh yes, I really love places where the decay is still natural. I wish I had a good camera at hand, someone to travel with me and enough time to visit places beyond the crowd but I could also imagine walking alone..You can imagine how many stories were written there.. And when the breeze comes up, it's like a soft whisper was telling you all of these stories, like the voices of the people were frozen in the wind.. I need to find such a place again ^_^I just fell in love with this picture. great work, my friend thank you for posting this.

Walking alone is oddly soothing when you're on the outside looking in, but incredibly unnerving when you're on the inside looking out. I never enter the buildings alone, in case something goes wrong and I need help. (Most of these places don't get cell phone signal, so calling for help isn't an option.) I would love to have been a fly on the wall when they were still active and see the buildings in their prime, before all the decay.Thank you for the wonderful comments. As always, it's appreciated and loved.
