Description This character was originally drawn for a book written by my buddy Steve Miller [link] called "Freaks!" Steve colored it for his book but I thought it might be fun to show off the black and white version.

You don't have to imagine it in color, just see the book "Freaks" by my pal Steve Millier [link] and there it is! Actually, I think Steve did a great job coloring my stuff. But thanks for saying such nice things about the black and white version, anyway.

is the book in comic stores? i was hoping he would have posted it on his dev art page...nevertheless, i can see by his skills that he is a competent colorist and no offense to him was intended

I actually had someone ask me for the original artwork for this guy, they said it was their favorite character in my book Freaks! When I told them I didn't have it they poured a Slurpee in my lap and set my toupee on fire. True story.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BryanBaugh In reply to PHARAOHSCURSE [2006-05-18 17:06:20 +0000 UTC]

MMMM... Not sure. I'm trying not to sell original art right now. I've been selling too much stuff lately and later finding myself wishing I'd held onto certain stuff. Not the commissions I did for anybody of course, but some of the originals for personal projects or illustration projects I've let go of I wish I hadn't. But thanks for asking! The one thing I do plan to sell in the near future are the original pages from "The Expendable One" graphic novel that comes out May 31st. I loved that job, but it was somebody esle's story so I don't feel strongly about keeping the pages.

Well as a true friend and HUGE FAN, If you ever sold me anything ya want back just let me know!!! You know I have a lot of your work!!! ( Just don't ask for the mummy stuff......LOL)

BryanBaugh In reply to PHARAOHSCURSE [2006-05-18 23:29:10 +0000 UTC]

OH, stop, you know that's not what I was trying to say! If I have my dates correct, the situation I'm refering to actually happened before I even met you. Besides basically all the stuff you've bought from me was a commission, done with the intention of selling, so of course there was nothing to regret there. But I had a little bit of seller's remorse about a few personal illos I had done for myself that I let go of because this one collector offered to pay me even more than I thought they were really worth, and I thought I would be stupid to turn him down, when I could always draw another one. But then I missed having the originals more than I valued the money. Anyway, the moral of the story - artists should really think before they sell their originals, and make sure it is something they are okay letting go of before they make the transaction.

Please dont take that the wrong way, I was refering to the zombie and werewolf sketches from Scared!!!! You know I have a hard time giving away my originals, thats why I made 11x17 pirnts....... I do however give away tons of original sketches. I use them as drawing pratice!!! And heres the big one, I working on a picture that I want to send you, It contains a WEREWOLF,a VAMPIRE CHICK, and a MUMMY........HINT-HINT-HINT, I'LL be sending it to you soon!!!!
