Description
Gigantocypris is the largest ostracod in the world, it comes in a gradient of different colors, varying from transparent, transparent-purple, all the way over to a highly beautiful orange. It has great, reflective, golden headlamp-like eyeballs, which stare straight out through its translucent shell. It is a little larger than a big marble when fully grown... ostracods are almost always microscopic, making this animal miraculous and hence its namesake.
