Description Prizrak (a general Russian term for ghosts and spirits) was the final member of the Doblestnyy Vityaz to be selected for membership. However, unlike the rest of the team, her inclusion was entirely by accident, the result of a freak accident that would change her life.

Prizrak was a female volunteer in the Soviet military. During her service, she became an ensign under the command of Voskhod, and accompanied him as an assistant on his various duties. Voskhod, however, realized that this could be used against him, as his enemies could potentially fabricate a case that they were fraternizing with each other. As a result, part of his motivation in leaving his command for the Doblestnyy Vityaz was to prevent this from occurring. But other events would change that.

The ensign accompanied Voskhod to observe Zarya undergoing the process of gaining her powers. But as Zarya underwent the process of the same machine that gave Voskhod and Molniya their powers, something went wrong. An error in its calibration caused it to overload, threatening to destroy the facility. While an evacuation went underway, Voskhod went to extract Zarya, confident his forcefield to protect him from the energies of the out of control machine. But in a moment of contrary action, Prizrak disobeyed his orders, and accompanied Voskhod into the chamber where Zarya was hooked up. Together they freed her, but it was too late. The machine exploded, Voskhod just barely able to protect himself and Zarya from the detonation. Prizrak was not so lucky, and she was consumed in the blast.

The ensign was believed dead for a while. But then, as the site of the detonation was cleaned up, the crews reported sighting "ghosts" in the area. At first it was only intermittent and taken as the ramblings of the drunken or superstitious. But as more people saw the ghosts and the appearances increased in rate, it was realized that there was something to these events. Voskhod himself investigated, and with Spektr's assistance, located the entity. It was the ensign herself, her consciousness disembodied and trying to put itself back together.

She eventually accomplished this, but the result was at best humanoid. The ensign had become some sort of quantum entity, neither dead nor alive, but existing in a state in-between. Time and space meant nothing to her, and it took her a long time to adjust to normal three-dimensional space-time. As she became normalized, Voskhod realized the value she presented, and petitioned for her membership into the Doblestnyy Vityaz. At first there was resistance to his proposal, but Andrei Beregov overrode these concerns. Prizrak's powers were of a valuable utilitarian use, and with her on board, the Doblestnyy Vityaz could instantly appear anywhere in Russia as needed. Thus, she was made an official member of the team, the thirteenth and last one.

Prizrak exists in a state being existence and non-existence. Strictly speaking, she is not limited by concepts such as distance and time, and she can teleport anywhere she can instantly. Though her body is not indestructible, she can survive her body's "death," being "killed" in one place, only to reappear elsewhere, unharmed. Using her powers, she can bring large quantities of matter with her, shifting the positions of objects and individuals in space and time for a wide variety of effects. She cannot control time or space itself, but can manipulate matter and energy's relationship with the continuum.
