Hope you like it. Took longer than I hoped and still has a few mistakes. It was fun to draw them!

It's so obvious that this has been drawn in Sai now that I've used it myself :3
I also create lots of layers when I'm using Sai. I probably would've done the same if I were using photoshop or any other program. But since I never tried creating anything from scratch using any other than Sai I wouldn't know.
I have to say that this is another masterpiece. Where did you find inspiration to create such image. Did you have a photo or something or did you just draw it from out of your own mind?

I do use a lot of reference when I start a painting, but when I get to a to a point that I feel comfortable with I go it alone. I understand how to do anatomy as I studied art. So sometimes I draw with no reference. But I try to use ref when I draw for people.

I know how to paint tradionally. ANd I learnt how to use photoshop, manga studio and painter. Mostly on my own. And now I'm learning how to use sai on my own. It's all about using what you know and trying new things and seeing how it works. That's why it takes some time to work on my artworks. But I have never taken lessons from the internet.
