Description
I've been on a pony kick lately, and have been having a hard time drawing my own OCs....So I decided to draw some of my favorite trashy ponies. Starlight is a neurotic but empathetic sweetheart, and I love her. [The Great and Powerful] Trixie is also an absolute mess, but she's learning and trying to make up for it. These BFFs make me very happy, no lie.I also wanted to play with human designs because I have to get better at drawing women. Also it seemed like a fun challenge!
Hope y'all like them, and there may be more in the future.

Oh my goodness, I love these two so much XD You just went ahead and drew, like, my absolute favorite characters in the show. Also, I super duper love them as an OTP or a BroTP, so it's nice to see them in the same piece >w< Never seen your lady drawings, though, and they look beautiful!

Omg, I'm so happy to hear more people like them! Like, Glim Glam is my bae, and I am still debating whether or not I ship them. Mostly I just love how exasperated she gets, but is still along for the ride.

Oh my gosh, I'm excited you're a sucker >w< It's such a good show, though!! Like, honestly, I love when Starlight gets annoyed by Trixie, but I love even more how she's so patient with her despite her being a little hard to deal with, haha~ It's hard to say out of the two of them who I love more, but... if I had to, it might be... Oh no, it's so hard! I wanna say Starlight because I feel she's really a cool character and nice to relate to as a human who has made mistakes but has learned to recover and also as a human who has anxiety which Starlight clearly has, too, but also, I love how full of herself and confident Trixie is even when she DOES know she's messed up and when she knows she isn't the best equipped for everything she pretends to be. I like them both uwu~
If you want to see it, I have some old, kinda cringey art of when I started to ship the two way back before they really knew each other XD Like, I don't know why I shipped them, when I think about it, but when they actually met and had a whole episode together, I was so happy that I already was invested in their relationship 'cause it made the episode that much better. Maybe, I shipped them because I liked them both as characters a lot, and I felt like with both of them being people who made mistakes but recovered, they'd understand each other well, and then they actually interacted in the show and they DID understand each other on that deeper level, and it was so nice TTwTT

Those pictures are wonderful, I couldn't tell they were that old! Like i loved the comic style of 'Comfort', it's really very nice and, well, comforting. Also the coloring in 'Learning about Friendship' is on point, and Twilight's face is so perfect. XD Seriously, don't be ashamed! You've definitely improved but these are by no means bad!
You bring up a lot of good points, it's really pretty neat that you managed to ship them before they actually met. And your reasons are so super sound, especially with the whole "reformed villains trying to make amends but making lots of mistakes".
Like, I love Trixie, I really do. I always love her episodes and I think her bitchy attitude is hilarious as all hell. She's really just a blast to watch. Also 100% crazy so that's cool too. XD Starlight does feel like a much more 3-Dimensional character. Like, she's had huge changes and developments, and is the Element of Empathy, which totally shows. She's so willing to accept and forgive and make friends, even moreso than Twilight. Her sarcastic attitude and not so hidden psycho tendencies paired with her genuine care and eagerness to learn make her very well fleshed out.
Like I love me some Applejack and Rarity, but these two are a blast to watch as well!

I've never been a big fan of the main characters in MLP, I only like them to a degree depending of the episode I guess, always been a secondary characters lover (Luna and Discord are my fav

I feel ya there. I mean, I don't dislike them, Rarity and Applejack are some of my other favorites. I also have grown to like the others much more, but I totally understand where you are coming from. Discord and Luna are also precious, and Bulk Biceps is too pure for this world.
Starlight's transformation really has been a joy to watch. Like, she still has her villainous tendencies, but is genuinely trying to be better. Her sarcasm is definitely my favorite, ha. I just wanna see more of her!

I'd say Applejack is my favorite of the main 6, even if her stand alone episodes are rarely good (for me), but when they are all together or she's part of a duo, she's my definitively my fave.
I love Trixie too, and the fact that Starlight keeps her appearing more often in the show makes me love her even more XD
