One of the greatest achievements in the history of mankind. One question though, when they land, that famous shot of Neil disembarking the eagle, how was that taken? Was there a camera on the hull?

Thanks for sharing dude, great picture of a fantastic Human achievment. To Jimmii, the flag was shaking b/c the pole the flag was attached to was very flexable and it bounced about when placed down, thats what was shaking, its been proved.

It does actually, if the astronauts happened to knock it slightly, the fact there's no air means the movement isn't damped and the flag will continue to oscillate, or appear to 'flap'.
This explains the motion of the flag planted during Apollo 11.

I doesn't shake. If you compare all photos taken of the flag during the mission you'll notice that the flag always shows the same shape - what would be impossible on earth. But whom do I tell...
