Very nice work! I admire the classy look you've given them here, and the painted strokes help to emphasize the originality of this piece. I'm not completely sure I understand the white spots next to Sonic's left arm, (his left) but other than that, everything looks grand!
Lastly, did they run up over the side of the platform? It looks like it cuts off sharply on both ends, as if they ran over the side. You could do one where there are bridges or something for experimentation!

Thank you! Hmm, a lot of people have commented on the painted look, I'm going to try and "hone" my skills in that area
I was was going for a spaceship or a rounded arena look, hence rounded horizon. Maybe if the fire and dust didn't cover up the ends of the horizon on the picture...I think it would help.

I did notice one thing out of place though; I think the flames that Shadow are leaving behind are slightly overlapping Sonic's spike.

He did have fangs in Sonic Adventure 1--they were like, super noticeable. Then they got rid of them for some reason, I dunno. Hedgehogs have spiky teeth. o:

I like it though there are two things that could use a quick fix. Β If you still have the open layer version you can fix them with ease. Β The first one is, the fire from Shadow is going right over Sonic's top quill as if it were in front of him which I know it's not suppose to be.
Β The second is a little less important though it's the flames again. Β They end off suddenly on the far left. Β Both are quite easy to fix so no worries.
