Description EXPLORER LOG #1:
SYSTEM: ???
//Planet K-14
Earthlike?
Atmosphere seems breathable. Flora and Fauna abundant. Ship scans indicate atmosphere is biologically compatible with ship's occupant, abiet a slight increase in CO2 in atmosphere as compared to Earth and other colonized worlds.

Log:
Planet seems calm enough. Fauna is small and skiddish. Most creatures mammalian in nature. Large swaths of (forest?) decorate the land here. Plants of unusual color fill what I can only believe are trees. Had trouble landing the ship due finding a sizable clearing. Emerald-colored grass line the forest floor. I am going to offboard the ship and have a look around.

//One last scan indicates no hazardous Pathogen or Biological material posing threats in air//

1100 - Full suit does not seem warranted. Going to venture out in minimal suit. Have I found a paradise planet? Logs indicate system uninhabited. I wonder why. No recent logs of landing or exploration.

1115 - The grass below is soft under my feet. A strange texture to it. Going to venture from the clearing. If I dont ping back at 1600, contact the station and issue SOS, though I think it's hardly needed.

1121 - The tree cover is thick here. Odd calls and chirps of creatures in the trees. They watch me as I walk by. No sign of life larger than say, an Earthen rabbit.

1145 - Further into the forest Im starting to notice some...bubbles? They're floating slowly through the air. Not sure the source.

1210 - Updated. I found the source. Small pools of some viscous liquid? Very shiny. Interesting smell permeates the air. Almost rubbery, but sweet. Pool of liquid is bubbling, causing these bubbles to float and wobble through the air. Maybe a sort of vent underneath? The further I get into the forest, the more common these pools are. Still unsure what they are. Rubber? Tar? Some sort of natural liquid? The bubbles they produce seem sticky in nature. They stick to trees, the ground. Im starting to see them in the canopy above. Oddly, the deeper I go the larger I see them. I think I should avoid these larger specimens.

1232 - I found a larger pool this time. Approx half kilometer from the ship. Im going to go in for a closer look. Large bubbles rise from this pit. Still unsure the natural process or even what they are made of.

1246 - I had a small bubble stick right to the edge of my tail. Very sticky and quite unpoppable. Took a bit of prying from a stick to get it loose. I'll scrape the remains off when I get back to the ship and analyze the material.

1300 - I should probably start heading back. The pools around here makes travel perilous. The deeper I venture, the more of these strange ponds break the forest floor.

1310 - Had another bubble stick right to me. Right on the hip. Still trying to get this one off. Maybe I should have brought the full suit. It's going to be tough to get this sticky residue out my fur. Ugh.

1323 - *Sounds of grunting, and distorted noises*
1326 - *A loud yelp and a splash is heard*
1335 - *Distant, muffled noises. Squeaks and the sound of stretching rubber*
....
....
1600 - //SOS BEACON ACTIVATED//
