I had a lot of fun drawing this! This is Legolas in his more dressy outfit.I'd like to know what you think of the outlines...do you like them colored, like this picture, or just black like my other pictures? Sometimes (actually most of the time) I like to keep my outlines black, because I usually spend a lot of time on them, and I don't want them to go un-noticed...so I make them "stick out" a little more by keeping them black. But I do also like the colored look.

This is amazing, I love that scene where Legolas walks in, when frodo wakes up. I swear I almost faint when I first see him in the scene, every time I watch it. Legolas is my prince and always and forever will be. *faves*

awww.....that is so cute. Although I doubt (at whatever age this is) his face would reflect much innocence, being prince of Mirkwood :/

I like the colored lines better..because it makes it so it looks more.. realistic?? I dunno.. but if you really want people to notice the hard work you put into the lines I would keep them black.

Anyways, I'm a coloured lineart girl XP It makes the image look that little bit more ... well, I was going to say realistic, but that's not true. It depends on the situation I guess

I've desided that people like human pictures better then animals/creatures...or at least they comment on them more

Bubblez, this is so cute! The shading works for this picture very nicely, and I love the shading and colours for the hair. The face is also beautifully rendered. The anatomy is superb, and the eyes kick ass! You even did them slightly curved like Legalos too ^.^
I like the coloured one better. Colour is fun! Colour is cool! It's a whole new creation by adding colour to the pic.
By the way, how did you make the linework so clear by scanning it in pencil first? I know that you scan art by pencil, but what do you do to clear the linework once you're in photoshop? Do you just take a tablet and go over the pencil in a different layer? Or do you use the pen tool in a different medium?

Yes, actually, I do go over my pencil sketch with a small brush in Photoshop...so everything you see in the picture was done on the computer.

This look can look really nice and smooth sometimes. I like to see both black and colored outlines. I'm always afraid to try colored outlines though.
Anyway, this is really cute! He looks kind of younger here, like it was drawn when he was a little bit younger. I love the ears (XD) and the shading, as always!

OMFG!!! Bubblez this is so gorgeous. The lineart is so clean and colored like this makes them look natural. I prefer the outlines colored over the black ones, but in the end that's your decision. I love Legolas's expression, really sweet looking. And the coloring is smooth and professional like your other pics.

I believe the colored outlines go very well with this picture. I suppose it all depends on what it is and the mood and overall effect you're going for when you pick what to do with your outlines. ^_^;; I mainly go for black, only because I have yet to actually devote myself to working with the other colors to see what looks good with this and that.. heh..
but I must say, I LOVE all of your pictures so much. you never fail to amaze me
