Description Sirius and Remus, genderswitched. Not colored yet *g*

You know you're a geek when: when reading someone complaining about "Sarah and Renee" fics, your first thought is "THAT'S NOT HOW YOU PROPERLY FEMINISE THEIR NAMES. Both their names are relevent in mythology to their characters, so instead you would just drop the 'us' and add an 'a' at the end in proper greek fashion, making them Siria and Rema!"

I usually think of a female Sirius being Sirista or Arista.

I;m always complaining about feminising names, especially fem!Harry names. There are some really bad ones that want to make you cringe

I was thinking Syria, too! Obviously with a "y" though.

I was thinking Seras or Ceres Black and Rema Lupin.

I like it though Rema could be shabbier and look a little more like a college proffesor rather than Ivy League student but much better than any of my stuff

they're kinda adorable.... and I agree with the Rema and Siria except that Sirius could be a girls name.

Well, last I checked (I am no expert, mind) 'us' ending to names signify very MALE names. Like naming your daughter George instead of Georgia. Female names as male names and male names as female names is pretty common in the US, though, but I've heard in England that isn't so. Rarely do you see a girl with what is traditionally a boy's name or a boy with what is traditionally a girl's name

its pretty common where I grew up on the east coast of australia.
I know a girl named Sirius... another named Dale... another named James. I also know a boy named Shirley.

you're mostly right about the 'us' being a male thing though. for greek and latin derived names its correct. Also most of the english names too.
