Bueshang — On the Precipice

Description "The great beast perches on a rocky precipice.."


Well this is what has been keeping me going for a while now, I had this concept in the back of my brain for the last few months and finally got it out on paper.

I particularly like how the scales came out, I'm quite pleased with them.

I have to say, this piece is just absolutely perfect! The expression on his face could use some work, and the scale layout is unfinished, it just doesn't look right without scales all the way through it... The wings are perfect, and the yellow stands out well and makes the picture really just pop!The fact he looks like he is floating on an island, just is a perfect extent of you imagination, the clouds look like fog, so I'm pretty sure that's what you were going for though, so thumbs up on that e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a… " width="19" height="19" alt="" title="Sweating a little..."/> his hind legs look a little off, but giving them two joints instead of one was a great idea. To sum it up I would say this piece is one of the best!

I mean it looks like he is happy, which wouldn't exactly match with the fog, for example you don't usually smile when it's dark and cloudy out...

This looks beautiful There is a balance between soft pastel-like colours and more intense ones. It creates a nice contrast along with the combination of yellow and blue. The pose is imaginative and the scale pattern looks great! The pose is such that it keeps your eye drawn to the image and the whole thing looks neatly presented. I would love to see more like this

Only if you want. It's a Fantasy RPG that's formed a strong fan-base.
