This looks great, I would be very interested in purchasing one! A natural bone pre-painted one would be great if you'll be offering that.
If you happen to remember, please shoot me a comment when you're ready to put these up for sale?

I usually don't buy masks, much as I love them, because I have no proper use for them, but I would buy the absolute heck out of this. Especially if antlers happened. It's beautiful!

Tips on painting Bone that I found
All paints I use are Reaper Pro Paints.
After applying two thin coats of brush-on primer...
1) Apply a thin basecoat of Ivory.
2) Apply a wash of Wood Shade Ink. You can use any shade of brown you want and as many layers as you want to you preference. It's best to go with a thin layer first and then build up to the desired darkness. By now, the bone will look "dirty". Of course allow the wash to dry.
3) Dry-brush Ivory on the peak areas. Sometime I have to resort to a detail brush to paint/touch up the ribs and the phalanges, but it's worth it.
4) Dry-brush Dragon White over the areas you want for that bleached look. The key to step 3 and 4 is using a flat brush. You don't want to overload the brush. Have just enough paint so that it will not run into the recessed areas like the spaces between the ribs. One rule of thumb is to gently wipe the excess paint on your thumb or finger until you can barely see your fingerprint.
5) Touch up recessed areas using the wash again. If you get excess paint in the recessed areas while highlighting, allow the highlighting paint to dry. Now, apply a wash to that area like the ribs, then quickly but gently wipe away the wash on the peak areas with your pinky finger. Continuing touching up as needed.
In cases like teeth, I have to use a detail brush to paint each tooth to give them more definition. Also, you may want to apply a very translucent brown wash over the whole skeleton to give it a "uniformed" look.

Would love to buy one or two if you plan to put them on sale (I'm not a craft person but they'd be cool to have on a shelf). Lovely shape.

Bueshang In reply to CrazyViper [2013-10-23 05:43:59 +0000 UTC]
Hmm not sure yet, a blank would probably be around $50 to $70 depending on the material cost and then some more for a painted one.
