Well, I was going through my old fashion designs on Monday night, and I found this design that I did when I was twelve for a competition. The competition was for a charity (I forget it's name) whose symbol was a butterfly, and the competition was to design an evening gown inspired by a butterfly. I ended up not submitting to the competition because I hated my idea, but on Monday I saw it's potential, so I reinvented it somewhat and drew it again. I'm really pleased with the result.Basically, the bodice (Made of tafetta) is the butterfly's coccoon, and the skirt (Made of chiffon) is the butterfly's wings emerging from the coccoon.
Again, I'm still a little shaky on photoshop, so don't be too harsh!

Technically the drawing & coloring was from when I was 14 (Now), but I did a version when I was 12 that I based this off. I just refined it and drew it better

If I had a slimmer body (working on it) I'd love to wear that... I'd even wear it to work.

beautiful! stunningly beautiful! if cash was no problem and i saw that beautiful dress i would buy it promptly and love it forever!! i bet if you mucked around with colour schemes settling on a light pink-white scheme it would be a beautiful wedding dress!!! and instead of the little thing at the top of the 'wings' it could be a rose? this is just another thought but i love it - it IS your best!!

Ooh pretty! I LOVE that the interpretation isn't literal. The dress seems practical, and is beautiful! Probably your best so far!

I don't have school today...It is cancelled because of a snowstorm. So...three day weekend here I come!
