Description Here we have it! This is my late Christmas comic!

More than anything, this comic is really kind of a commentary on modern stories versus classic stories. When the original Christmas Carol was written, it was designed to scare rich people into being a little bit more generous around the holidays by threatening them with ghosts and an afterlife endless walking with heavy chains.
These days, people need a little more. They need pain and gore and dismemberment. This is what I'd imagine A Christmas Carol would be like if it had been made today.

Didn't have to happen.
Maybe shouldn't have happened.
Yet, happened all the the same.

This Scrooge reminds you of Busey?

Not one bit, more like a skinnier ed asner, but just throwing that out there, I think Busey oughta play Scrooge. I don't know, been seeing him a lot lately.

It's just a little commentary on what A Christmas Carol would be like if it had been made today instead of back then. It'd be less a story about redemption and more about violence.

And that... that's that song that Sponge Bob played!

This makes more sense than the original story of BOTH characters.

Bug-Off In reply to VincentKiddo [2009-06-11 20:42:55 +0000 UTC]

Because Scruge actually deserves it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

VincentKiddo In reply to Bug-Off [2009-06-12 01:03:47 +0000 UTC]

Exactly.

Besides, Scruge being kidnaped by a serial killer is more realistic than just being visited by ghosts.

And is more congruent for the character of jigsaw to torture a capitalist pig like scruge than just some junkies or minior criminals, because capitalists cause more damage to the society and the only thing they care for is money.

But the ghosts taught him the error of his ways by forcing him to look at his life from a different perspective without the use grusome disfigurment and forced self-mutilization. He went on to be a nice person, save Christmas for Bob Cratchet, and ultimatly save Tiny Tim's life.

It would be great if all the rich could change their opinion so easily, but that will never happen, all the rich are perverted.
someone should kill them all, leave nothing of them but ash, for the good of The People.

It's just a joke, but yeah, the Saw movies are intended to be scary, so I guess it stands to reason that the characters I borrow from them are scary too.

...Not that I really cared for the Saw movies at all...

Probably just as well. I don't imagine you'd like them. I didn't really like them.

Just the same though, when I get an idea for a comic, I don't let things like "me not liking it" get in the way.

poor scrooge, I think three ghost would be much better than one jigsaw XD

very good work. LOVE THIS!

As I was saying in my image comment, this comic is a bit of a comparison on what was scary a hundred years ago apposed to what is scary today.

Inked, yes. With a ballpoint pen.
My new comic-making system is basically this: I draw it my comics in pencil, ink over the perminent lines with pen, erase the pencil lines, then scan the pictures onto the computer in black & white. From there on the computer editing process has been pretty much the same for a long time.
