Just keep the contest entries coming! This time it I made something for M Detector 5's Lorelei Contest.MDetector mentioned that his character Lorelei liked to cosplay, so I dressed her up as the Major Motoko Kusanagi from "Ghost in a Shell". Lorelei isn't alone either, as she managed to doop- I mean "convince" Noob to join her and cosplay as her partner Batou. But oh dear, I seems that Noob's "cybernetic eye implants" are not too comfortable. Oops.

I made a rant about this before because I really like this show.
When the manga was first written, she was cast as a spunky flirtatious robot girl. That worked for some people. But when it was turned into a movie (and then an animated series) they changed her character into an older, more mature, more realistic personality. Good for other people. But they KEPT the floozy outfit! And that just clashes with the tone of the show, if you ask me.

I don't know much about these characters they are cosplaying as but I like the picture anyway, you always manage to give the people you draw such expressive poses!

I don't know why, but there you go.
In MD5's comics he's usually the guy that gets hurt, misused, and abused quite a bit. The Batou guy has these cybernetic eye implants, so anyone who would cosplay as him would have to find a way of sticking lenses in their eyes in order to pass as him, and that would be quite uncomfortable. So I figured Noob would be the perfect subject to take the blunt end of my joke for this picture.

His real name is Roger, but there was this one character in Mortal Kombat named Noob Saibot that he played with all the time. The name eventually stuck.

I realize it's a little hard to tell it's Lore will her change of clothes and purple wig and sunglasses. But she still has her darker skin tone and her trademark flower in her hair.
