Ahhhh! Not what you were expecting considering the title, eh?

Well, this IS an experiment on my part using Leonardo and Rowan as my guinea pigs.

Okay, seriously though. I've seen in many artbooks (Sailor Moon and Clamp's Magic Knight Rayearth) where the artist used oragami paper for kimonos. (don't ask me for a link to a visual reference...I couldn't tell you where to find those...)

So for many, MANY years I've wanted to try it. Well, a few days ago a buckled down and bought the paper and tried it out!

Let me tell you how HARD it was to cut out each piece to the size and shape that I needed! ESPECIALLY around Leo's fingers!!!

Anyhoo, the end result I rather liked. I may try it again, hopefully with more success.

Oh, and don't worry too much about that background. I tried to do something neat and it started out okay, but in the end my arches just weren't arching. I tried to save it as best as I could.

HB pencil, micron pen, primsacolor and copic markers, primsacolor pencil, oragami paper and scrapbooking gel pens.
