Watercolor sketch, 6 inches wide, design concept for unusual house on hillside. Usually it's not a good idea to "split" a house like that, of course, but it makes an interesting design.Related content

This is really amazing!! I wish I could draw like that, but I keep failing every time I practice haha
I try drawing from lots of photos, but it never works out.. maybe I should trace at first instead of trying to copy

Lots of ways to learn. Trace over photos to figure out perspective lines, draw from real buildings (sit on the curb.) Draw from photos or internet. I did all of that a long time ago.

Yes, I'm self-taught, no degree, so you title yourself a "residential designer." I also build stuff, illustrate stuff, blah blah...

Practice. Look at photos. Analyze how the building distorts as you scan from left to right. Try tracing a few dramatic photos, or trace your own photos. After some tracings, you'll learn to draw from scratch similar stuff...
