Geezlike! Never mind poor old Sysiphus who had to push the rolling rock up the hill, our man here has to PULL it behind him. hehe.
This is lovely. Its great the way the eye travels up from the slab of rock towards the sculpture rising out of it. Brilliantly architected. Nice lighting as well.

Sheesh Buk! Screw me being a muse for a joke, the work from this show has hit me for six. I've been back a few times now just to look at the images (which is why I haven't posted responses yet). I could quite easily favourite every piece in the show. Even the exhibition shots are fantastic. Glad that you included them, as it gave an overall feel for the whole aesthetic of the show.
This work has to be my favourite, and I would seriously like to buy anyone of the works in the show. When I do make it back over to the Unites States, I will be shipping back some of your work with me. Just have to hope that you haven't become so famous that its beyond my fiscal means!
I don't pretend to know squat about your glazing techniques, but the end results are just captivating. For me their colourings and surface treatments, as well as the simplification of the human form are akin to the hand-held Neolithic period worship objects, Venus of Willendorf, etc. I want to be able to get up close and personal with these works so I can really get to see the detail.
Quite frankly, I feel to be in the presence of greatness.
Fantastic, fantastic show Buk. Buy yourself a bloody beer or three mate, as I can't be there to shout you. YOU DERSERVE IT!!

The presence of good company I like to think. I'm as fond of your work as well. If we lived on the same continet I'd suggest a few trades-Both of us are not millionares (unless you sold more sculpture!) . So we'll have to be content with 2D pictures.
I am very honored myself. Those are wonderful compliments and my huge noggin might not fit through a door jamb now. thanks.
I don't know squat aout glazing technqes either. I just try stuff until it works. I went through about 4 heads per each one that worked. Many of them fired several times. Thats a lot of pottery shards. I have started a heap of head shards in the back yard. It looks like a creepy oyster mound. Mostly I use whatever i can think of. One thats more interesting id regular old soldering flux for sweating copper pipes. That sort of thing.
The beer sounds good. I'll do that.
By the way-you being a muse wasn't a joke. I ment it. Your a good inspiration to me. The work I hope reflects that. I tried to pass it off as a joke cause I didn't want to weird you out. I think you'll be OK with the truth, I am.

I LOVE this (I think I've said that for all your pieces) Reminds me of an alien god... sorta like a Stone Hedge theory... very cool! This commands attention and sort of a worship with the alter or tombstone feel. Nice!

? Interesting. To me, that is every person. I tried to give it a childs structure with a larger head and small shoulders. I like the idea of us observing ourselves in your perspective. It gives me a good idea about where I can take a noggin I've been be-fuddled by. Always good to hear from you.

I appreciate the encouragement. I wrote Noases and told her I would keep trying. I would apprecaite your help. I can't thank you enogh for the encouragement. I live in a fairly rural part of FL and don't get out much anymore, so your feed back is important personally and in a broader sensce.
Additionally I enjoyed the dialog you started with your lichen piececs.

I think I can understand it all. But I will ask if I need further help. Thank you for this. I appreciate it.
Do other people seem to be able to understand this? I think it is very interesting. It has many possibilities.

As a teacher, I can honestly say we don't know everything. Try to tell them they don't understand, then explain it to them.

I am rarely satisfied with my students works. I can see peoples potentials pretty clearly now. In addition I can't help but want for the best for them. So my expectations are high for them. Eventually I believe in all of them-some will do better than others, but I am proud of all of them. It is difficult for them, but I encourage them and push them forward as much as they can take.
200 pieces! I am excited for you-that should blow them away! Please include your mentor in this-they can help you and you may not even be able to see it. It is a courtesy if nothing else. I hope you will consider it at least.
Once again- I am excited for you 200 good pieces is a great thing! You should be proud of yourself.

Keep going forward zlasheep! Let them know you are serious and need their help. If they are good- they will help, or direct you to those who can. If not, then you will be done with them soon enough. Keep the faith and persistance.!
