Description
Alright! *claps hands together* This picture gives me a really convenient opportunity to reintroduce these guys!
So, these are the main characters for Galactiquest, my first original series! These eight are the crew of the Celestion-5, semi-randomly chosen by the Interstellar Forces (space military) to go on humankind's first voyage to Neptune! Unfortunately, things aren't all smooth sailing. They encounter many hiccups along the way, some because they're young and inexperienced, and some because the Interstellar Forces isn't always as competent as it likes to appear. Anyway, here's the main characters from left to right, top to bottom.
Leon Summers - 18 years old. Rookie. Leon has stars in his eyes, his head in the clouds, and a hand always reaching out for a new friend. Joining the Interstellar Forces was his lifelong dream, and he's eager to do whatever he can to be a good star ranger. However, he is still a rookie, and his eagerness can lead him taking on more than he can handle. Leon loves talking about the things that excite him, which is pretty much everything, but especially space.
Mia Wattson - 19 years old. Served for 1 year. Mia is polite and unassuming; just a down-to-earth girl from the moon colony. She lives life practically, responsibly, and quietly, preferring to keep her head down than be noticed by others. Unfortunately, she can't seem to catch a break, but her quick thinking is useful for getting out of the worst of situations. She always has a book open, but she's far from being an open book. Trying to get close to her is the easiest way for her to push someone away.
Roxie Allen - 22 years old. Served for 2 years. Roxie is bubbly, sweet, and kind... of hard to keep up with. She lives with one foot in reality and the other in fantasy, always willing to drag everyone else into her imagination. It's not all rainbows and sunshine, though. Though she doesn't show it, she's constantly worried for everyone else's safety, partially because she's the ship's main medical staff. The only thing she'll be spreading is joy!
Jun Kim - 27 years old. Served for 4 years. The name Jun Kim doesn't require an introduction. They joined the IF during a time where only men were allowed, and are the reason that's not the case anymore. Despite famously breaking a rule, Jun's no troublemaker. They just want to chill out, surf, and make the world a better place in small ways that don't involve their face being plastered all over the news. People see Jun as some sort of mythical figure, but they don't want to be worshipped. They just want to help.
Aiden Kelly - 26 years old. Served for 5 years. Most people see Aiden as troublesome. He likes causing problems on purpose, especially for what he views as unjust uses of authority. For him, that is any use of authority. The IF is a joke to him, and he will call out and exploit its problems at any given opportunity. He's among the fittest in the entire organization, but thanks to a new influx of star rangers, he's not irreplaceable anymore and has to follow the rules sometimes. That doesn't mean he has to like it.
Angelo Summers - "18" (15) years old. Rookie. Small, skittish, and sensitive, Angelo seems like he shouldn't be in the Interstellar Forces. He shouldn't, but thanks to a little forgery and a lot of determination, he is! Desperate to become stronger and more likeable (in his own words), he fled to space. Shyness and deep, deep insecurities mask a truly kindhearted boy, much like his older brother Leon.... His older brother Leon, who knows he shouldn't be onboard the ship. Uh-oh.
Emil Galhardo-Alverez - 18 years old. Rookie. While it's proper to call him Lieutenant Captain Galhardo, Emil loves fun, not formalities! He may not know every rule by heart or how the ship works, but he has a lot of energy and a lot of heart, and sometimes, that's more necessary to get the job done than any regulation. Most people like him; he tries very hard at it. His looks and talents could easily make him famous, but he wants others to share the spotlight, too.
Lorenzo Galhardo-Alverez - 19 years old. Rookie. Lorenzo keeps the IF Handbook on him at all times; it's always on his mind. His mind, body, and image are kept in perfect condition, befitting of the model star ranger he aspires to be. People think his high-ranking father is the only thing that made him captain of the Celestion-5, but Lorenzo just so happens to be a piloting prodigy. He's more passionate about the IF than his stoic demeanor lets on, and he has many practical skills that make him more than qualified for his position. However, he's not good at connecting with people, so he just... doesn't. Whenever he's not giving orders, he disappears into his room, only willing to talk to his brother.
This isn't my usual style, btw. I was trying to emulate the style seen in 100ft Robot Golf.
