Description This is the Bryn now! He is growing fast and now follows me wherever he can. I hope to return to woodburning soon, although I am currently swamped with other work.

For now though - have my handsome boy!

Merles are the second-prettiest coat. (First prettiest is sable trifactored, but that was what my late Collie was, so, you know, not that I'm biased or anything...)

Wow, he's beautiful! That coat must take a lot of looking after, too... what breed is he?

Thank you! He's a rough collie His coat pattern is blue merle. He's only 5 months so I groom him daily to get him used to it but when he is fully grown it only takes a good session once a week to sort it out.

Ah, right. I did wonder, he definitely has a collie look about him. I think it's the long coat that threw me off - I'm only familiar with the standard working collies with shorter hair because of where I live. Because of that, I was wondering if he was a collie mix, possibly with a bit of greyhound, because his face looks very like theirs. He'll look so majestic when he's all grown up.Β

We have a 2-and-a-half month old White Shepherd pup called Fenris, named so because he looks like a big wolf even at this young age - Β his coat is terribly tuggy if it's left for more than a few days, made worse by the fact that he's just starting to shed his puppy coat. A few days ago he fell in a ditch and got all muddy, so I had to give him a bath, and what a performance that was! He enjoyed it, but his coat is so dense that it takes a long time and quite a lot of elbow grease to get it fully clean. He's more intent on mouthing at the brush or my hands when I groom him, so IΒ do the same as you do with Bryn to get him used to it. Funnily enough, he dislikes getting his back brushed, but loves getting his tummy and feet done. He's definitely one of the family now, as it's come to light that he's a very strange little nugget.
